About Ming Chen

Ming Chen (Born 1978, China) is a Chinese-born artist based in Los Angeles. She is currently an MFA Candidate at Claremont Graduate University. Integrated with traditional Chinese watercolor, acrylic, oil, ceramics, and mixed media, her art shifts between abstraction and realism. She is inspired by the idea of unity of human and nature. Her painting embodies the immensity and vitality of nature through representative landscape. She obtained her bachelor’s degree of literature and a double bachelor’s degree in economics from Minzu University of China in 2001. Her art has been exhibited in GLAMFA, Paul Williams Gallery, Sasse Museum of Art, City of Walnut, and Ginkgo Art Gallery. Her paintings have been collected in China, the United States, and Australia.
